Gathering Global Attention
Eighty-one years ago, Peggy Guggenheim made history with the first documented all-female art exhibition in the United States—Exhibition By 31 Women. With this massive accomplishment being seemingly erased in history, our The 31 Women Collection was developed with a purpose of providing long-overdue recognition, conversation and celebration for these 31 artists.
Since the start of The 31 Women Collection back in 2020, it has begun traveling worldwide, from New York to California to Denmark, and now Germany and Spain.
Currently on Display:
Regendering Dada at the Arp Museum in Remagen, Germany (now through January 12). This exhibition highlights the influential yet often underestimated role of women in the Dada movement. Featuring works from our collection by Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven ("Mama of Dada") and Theresa Bernstein, the exhibition is "regendering" public perception by showcasing women artists alongside their male counterparts.
31 Mujeres (31 Women) at Fundación MAPFRE in Madrid, Spain (September 19 - January 5, 2025). The MAPFRE has handpicked 50+ works from our 200+ collection to craft an exhibition that sheds light on the historical significance of Guggenheim's 1943 Exhibition By 31 Women and all artists involved. Debunking the idea that these artists were at one point forgotten "wives of" or "muses", 31 Mujeres showcases the artists who were trailblazers for 20th century art.

IMPACT INVESTOR: ANGEL CITY FC
Angel City FC is making a splash in the global arena! Six ACFC players have been called into national team camps as the NWSL season pauses for the 2024 Olympics. Defender Ali Riley is on fire, selected among her New Zealand teammates to compete in her fifth Olympic games! Breakout star Alyssa Thompson joined the senior U.S. team for training ahead of their departure.
Bringing more than sizzling soccer skills, Angel City FC had the honor of hosting the second annual Equity Summit at the Paris 2024 Olympics! Bringing the heat with 120+ attendees from 14 international sports organizations, this annual event united global leaders, Olympians, and industry experts to spark dynamic discussions and drive change for gender equity in sports and beyond. Talk about a global gathering of game-changers!
In other arenas, Forward Claire Emslie participated in Scotland's 2025 Euro qualifying campaign, while Rookie Gisele Thompson was called into camp for the USA U-20 National Team. Midfielders Kennedy Fuller and Rocky Rodríguez joined the USA U-17 National Team and Las Ticas, respectively.
Angel City Football Club's valuation has reached a landmark $250 million, reflecting the club's robust growth and increasing influence. This marks a dramatic rise from $180 million in July 2023 and $100 million in 2022 (Angel City) (The18) (Just Women's Sports).
This rapid growth highlights the rising prominence and commercial viability of women's sports, showcasing that investment in female athletes and teams is both impactful and profitable. The club's escalating market value underscores the growing recognition and support for women's sports, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable sports landscape.
Angel City's remarkable trajectory not only solidifies its position as a powerhouse in the sport but also sends a powerful message about the value and potential of women's sports, encouraging further investment and support across the industry. Swimming Against The Tide
"As the daughter of a US immigrant, I know firsthand that anybody can overcome seemingly impossible obstacles if they’re brave enough to swim against the tide and give it everything they’ve got. Growing up, I envisioned a clear path for my future: graduate from high school, earn my bachelor's degree, enter the workforce, and steadily climb a competitive career ladder. But everything changed in 2020; I completed college at the height of the pandemic, leaving my next steps uncertain.
Navigating adulthood in an unfamiliar world, I pivoted and embarked on a new journey off the beaten path: pursuing my freelance career full-time. As a solo entrepreneur, I quickly discovered that I thrive under the leadership of powerful women—CEOs, Executive Directors, and business owners—whom I’ve had the privilege of working with and learning from. Many of these inspiring women dove headfirst into their dreams and navigated difficult waters with unwavering determination.
Although the trajectory of my career had changed, my education and the relationships I built as a result proved invaluable. A few years later, my friend and fellow OCU star, Hannah Kimball, connected me with Jenna Segal and her mission-driven company–the rest is history!
As I reflect on my experience working with Segal NYC, I understand the value of belonging to a team bigger than yourself with goals greater than what you can dream of accomplishing alone. Me, myself, and I can’t change the world — but I can lift up women in my personal and professional life, following the example set by women whom I aspire to emulate one day.
A single fish might struggle against a strong tide, but a school of them can navigate even the roughest waters. Alongside Jenna, Hannah, and the millions of other individuals working to achieve gender equity, I believe we are building a more inclusive and equitable world for the next generation of women—a world that my ancestors could only dream of."
